AN ONLINE wine retailer has expanded its delivery service to take the stress out of buying online.

London (ePressReleases.org) Nov 24, 2009 - Serenata Wines has introduced an option that avoids the school run so parents dropping off or picking up their children do not miss out on that crucial case of vino.
The online wine gift firm decided to make the move after studies showed that missing a delivery was a big bugbear of buying online.
With Christmas around the corner, millions of Brits will be turning to the web over the next month to buy gifts for their loved ones.
But despite the growing online shopping phenomenon,problems with delivery are leaving some consumers frustrated.
Latest figures claim up to half of online deliveries cannot take place because there is nobody at home. Companies either have to leave items in a "safe place", with neighbours or rearrange delivery times.
But evidence suggests shoppers do not like having to take time off work to wait in for a delivery and are expecting firms to be more flexible.
Peter Ahl, Managing Director of Serenata Wines, revealed he had now introduced evening and the "avoid school run" delivery times, adding to the am and pm slots. The online wine delivery company has also started a free Saturday delivery service.
Mr Ahl said: "Parents who do the school run often miss vital deliveries in the morning or afternoon.Allowing people to schedule am/pm/evening/avoid school-run or Saturday deliveries will help people avoid staying at home for a whole day just to wait for a delivery. A few people I know stay or work at home some days just so they can be there for a delivery. So while online shopping has certainly saved us lots of time, the delivery aspect can still an issue."
