Entertaining And Educational Podcasts From SGI
St George International announces its new series of entertaining English language podcasts.

UK,London (ePressReleases.org) Jun 22, 2012 - The series is available to listen to on the SGI website and has been developed to assist students' understanding of everyday English language. The school plans to release MP3 downloads for tablets, PCs, phones and laptops via the iTunes site. These podcasts are also going to be accompanied by transcripts, which will include questions to test students' understanding of the discussions.
In the series of podcasts from St George International, two of the teachers, Charlie and Bren, discuss a number of different subjects. The talks are fairly short and are aimed to help listeners develop their everyday speaking and listening English skills.
In one podcast the subject being discussed is English Gentlemen. In this amusing exchange Charlie and Bren talk about British men and their reputations around the world. Discussions about the Royal Family, London Olympics, clothes and music are also included in the series, which is entitled English Conversation, Real and Relevant.
The series of English Conversation, Real and Relevant podcasts are part of the English Blog, a site put together by staff to help students build on the lessons they learn in the classroom. Other sections on the blog look at business news, grammar, vocabulary, IELTS and tips for improving spoken English skills. The site also has a competition section where students can win courses and additional learning resources. The aim of the blog is to give students a more personal experience of life in the UK and at the London English school.

St George International was established in 1962 and originally opened in Marylebone. The school is now in Fitzrovia, just a short walk from Oxford Circus Underground Station. SGI also has partner schools located in Cambridge and Oxford.
The language programmes at SGI cater for the individual needs and requirements of all students. Academic English courses are offered at SGI which help prepare students for further education in the UK. The school runs an extensive English language curriculum including business language, and also offers teacher training programmes along with a range of other foreign language courses.
