Projects Abroad Offers Youngsters A Special Summer Break
Projects Abroad, an international volunteer organisation, is offering 16-19 year olds the chance to make 2012's summer break special.

UK (ePressReleases.org) Jun 29,2012 -It is giving them the unique opportunity to do and experience something different during their school holidays by taking part in voluntary projects based all over the world. During these they will make a very real difference to the lives of others while learning new skills and gaining new experiences for themselves at the same time.
Projects Abroad has more than 20 years of experience in arranging volunteer placements overseas for people from all backgrounds and ages. It has placed more than 35,000 volunteers and each year places up to 8,000 in projects across the globe.
This summer - between June and August - it is offering UK youngsters the chance to take a very special summer break. It has arranged a programme of 2 Week Specials during which young students can live, work and learn at their choice from 39 different projects in 22 must-see travel destinations all over the world.
Each brief placement packs in what most holidaymakers barely manage to scratch the surface of. The students will have the unique chance to work among an international team of volunteers, to learn a new language, to live with a local family, to make sight-seeing trips with local experts, to learn new skills and to help give something back to the local community or protect the local environment.
Through Projects Abroad young students this summer will be travelling as far afield as Senegal, Cambodia, India, South Africa, Costa Rica or Argentina and gaining invaluable experience in fields as diverse as Archaeology, Care and Community Work, Conservation, Culture, Journalism, Law, Healthcare or Sports.
The 2 Week Specials offered by Projects Abroad this year include:
. Marine conservation and scuba diving in Thailand.
. Archaeological experience on Incan sites in Peru close to Machu Picchu.
. Care work in Morocco combined with the opportunity to learn Arabic or French.
. Experience journalistic research and writing in Romania.
. Learning about Chinese law while gaining an understanding of Chinese culture.
. Working with medical volunteers in Argentina.
